Sudanese Couple Get Engaged in Central Park New York

My darling readers….I have such a treat for you today. I have seen many creative proposal videos over the years, but this one truly takes the proverbial cake!  I double dog dare you to watch this video in its entirety and not weep with joy.

And now, without further ado…I present you THE CUTEST Marriage PROPOSAL VIDEO EVER!  Enjoy!  Names changed to protect their identity.

I so so SO love it when photographers get stealthy and work with guys to capture wedding proposals!  Who wouldn’t love to have such a special moment documented in photos? Funico Studios worked with Todd to plan and execute a his sweet proposal to Melissa in Central Park.  Here’s how it went down…

Our client, Todd, contacted us to let us know that he was planning to travel to NY and propose to his girlfriend, Melissa, in Central Park on a rowboat. Since this shoot, which we dubbed  “Operation Proposal,” was taking place in a popular tourist location and we had never met Todd in person before, it required a good deal of logistical planning to ensure success.

As luck would have it, we ran into some unexpected glitches anyway – the spot from where we were planning to photograph was closed for renovations that day! But in the end, we were able let Todd know that we would be shooting from the other side of the lake instead and captured some wonderful candids of the couple as they were enjoying their boat ride. We had told Todd to propose just east of the Bow Bridge, and watched him hover around nervously as he waited for some of the other boats to clear out.

Finally, after the congestion cleared, Todd popped the question! After Melissa said “yes”, they lingered out on the lake to take in the moment, and when they returned to shore, we snapped some more photos of the happy couple with the beautiful scenery in Central Park.

I love this next shot.  The ladies in the boat behind them clearly just realized a proposal was happening nearby!

Congratulations on your engagement Melissa and Todd!  And thanks to Funico Studios for sharing their photos with us… mission accomplished!!
